I am volunteering at the Love Arts Festival. There are loads of events from music, exhibitions, theatre, literature, lectures, plays, film screenings and many more. It is really exciting and is providing a great way to promote positive attitudes towards mental health and well being, trying to rid the stigma that often surrounds people with mental health problems. It is encouraging people from all backgrounds and careers to become involved combining arts and culture with promoting mental health awareness. I will be volunteering at three events! I feel that this is a really good thing to be involved in and I will gain more of an understanding of issues surrounding mental health, also meeting some new people and having fun in the process.
